FLORENCE & ROME
Preliminary Programme
(subject to amendment)
The dates of our visit to Italy in November 2008 are now fixed and the programme arranged. The emphasis of this trip is as a study tour, though while costume and textiles are our primary interest, we would not want to overlook that Florence is the home of the Medici, of Botticelli, Galileo and that we shall be visiting Sienna, Pienza and Rome. As usual we have tried to hit the right balance between filling our time in Italy with not making it so crammed full as to be impossibly exhausting.
